The FAQ of Videojet 1000 Series Printer

  1. Problem: The printing position of Videojet 1000 Series Printer is incorrect.
    Solution: 1) Check whether the settings are correct, information parameter Setting > Product delay parameter Setting.
    2) When editing information, whether there is too much blank space before the information content;
    3) Whether the position of the product detector is moved;
  2. Problem: The printing information size of Videojet 1000 Series Printer is incorrect.
    Solution: 1) Confirm whether the character height is set correctly;
    2) Ensure that the printing distance between the Videojet Nozzle and the product is correct. The farther the Videojet nozzle is from the product surface, the higher the character height;
    3) Ensure that the correct dot matrix is selected in the information;
    4) If the information is stretched, reduce the width value in the information parameter;
    5) If the information is compressed, increase the width value in the information parameter.
  3. Problem: The printing is incomplete.
    Solution: 1) Confirm that the parameter setting of “Information Parameter > Maximum printing count” is consistent with the character height of the printing information (for example, if the printing information is a single line of 16 dots or a double line of 7 dots, the maximum printing count should be set to 16):
    2) Check whether the Videojet 1000 Series Printer’s nozzle ink accumulation, if necessary to clean the nozzle;
    3) Confirm that the position of the Videojet Ink line in the recovery tank is correct.
  4. Problem: Product leakage printing.
    Solution: 1) Confirm that the product detector can correctly detect each product, otherwise adjust its installation position;
    2) Whether the position of the product changes when it passes the detector, so it exceeds the sensor range of the detector;
    3) Confirm that the signal trigger level is set correctly. Under normal circumstances, when the product detector detects the product, and the LED light on the back of the electric eye interface board is not bright, it should be set to low level trigger: otherwise, it is high level trigger.
  5. Problem: Repeated printing.
    Solution: 1) Adjust the Videojet sensor position of the electric eye to avoid sensing areas with color differences;
    2) Adjust the sensitivity of the electric eye to avoid the influence of color difference;
    3) Use other types of electric eyes;
    4) Contact Videojet service department to set the unique width filtering function of the Videojet 1000 Series Printer.
  6. Problem: The recycling tank is faulty.
    Solution: 1) Check whether there is Videojet ink accumulation in the recycling tank, and clean the recycling tank if necessary;
    2) Make sure the Videojet 1000 Series Printer’s ink line enters the recovery tank correctly;
    3) Confirm that the recovery tank has negative pressure, and the ink can be recovered normally;
    4) Contact Videojet service department for further support;
  7. Problem: Videojet Ink/solvent is not recognized.
    Solution: 1) Take out the ink/solvent box, check the label, and confirm that its model is correct;
    2) Make sure that the ink and solvent are not in the wrong position;
    3) Replace other ink/solvent boxes to see if the printer can correctly identify;
    4) Contact Videojet Service department for further support.
  8. Problem: Videojet High voltage trip fault.
    Solution: 1) Check whether the Videojet 1000 Series Printer’s nozzle is clean & dry, clean the nozzle if necessary, and blow dry, and then restart the ink line;
    2) Recalibrate the high voltage sensitivity under the guidance of Videojet service department;
    3) Contact Videojet service department for further support;
  9. Problem: The Videojet 1000 Series Printer has an alarm that the printing speed is too fast.
    Solution: 1) The width setting value in the information parameter is too small;
    2) The printing information dot matrix is set too high;
    3) In the mode of length unit (linear unit), the production line speed or shaft coder resolution is set incorrectly;
    4) The number of pulses received by the current printer per unit time exceeds the processing capacity of the Videojet 1000 Series Printer. The solution is to increase the wheel diameter of the synchronizer or use a synchronizer with lower pulse number, or reduce the production line speed, or choose a smaller information lattice, or increase the information width Settings;
  10. Problem: The phase threshold is faulty.
    Solution: 1) Check whether the charging slot and phase detector are clean and dry, and clean if necessary;
    2) Check whether the position of the ink line is correct;
    3) Observe whether the ink line is split in the charging slot;
    4) Contact Videojet service department for further support;
  11. Problem: Videojet 1000 Series Printer display alarm that nozzle temperature is too low.
    Solution: 1) The Videojet nozzle has not reached the working temperature, open the ink line and let the Videojet 1000 Series Printer continue to run, and the temperature of the Videojet nozzle will correct itself;
    2) The ambient temperature is lower than the minimum operating temperature of the printer;
    3) Contact Videojet Service department for further support.
  12. Problem: Videojet 1000 Series Printer prompts to arrive maintenance time.
    Solution: 1) The Videojet Ink Core reaches the service life and needs to be replaced;
  13. Problem: The Videojet ink core liquid level is high.
    Solution: 1) Frequent cleaning startup/shutdown action, resulting in too much solvent into the mixing cylinder;
    2) Excessive Videojet nozzle cleaning;

  14. Problem: The printer display screen is too dark or too bright to see.
    Solution: 1) Adjust the brightness adjustment arrow in the lower left corner of the display screen, increase or decrease the Videojet LCD contrast until the handwriting on the display can be clearly seen;
    2) Check the flat cable between the display screen and the CSB board;
    3) The Videojet LCD is damaged and needs to be replaced. Please contact Videojet service department for support;
  15. Problem: The meter is inaccurate when using the synchronizer, or the length of the printing information changes.
    Solution: 1) Confirm that the synchronizer and the conveyor belt do not slip directly, otherwise reinstall and fix;
    2) Confirm that the Videojet 1000 Series Printer receives the synchronizer signal. The method is: observe the LED indicator status on the interface board of the synchronizer. The LED light is steady on when the Videojet 1000 Series Printer is not connected to the synchronizer; The synchronizer and the printer are connected, but when the production line is not running, the LED light is off: When the production line is running, the LED light becomes bright again;
    3) If the length unit (linear unit) mode is used, confirm that the set Videojet synchronizer resolution parameters are accurate.
